What is Madhupark Vidhi? (मधुपर्क विधि क्या है?)

"Madhupark" is a substance/drink which is welcomed with great respect by the bride's side when the groom arrives at the bride's door during the marriage. Even now this tradition is unbroken only in the society. Curd and honey are added to Madhupark, if honey is not available, ghee is used.
Marriage is a very sacred and important sacrament. The name of entry into Grihasthashram is marriage. According to our scriptures, this is a very sacred and important ritual. Its orderly details are as follows: Door Puja: On the day of marriage, when the groom is present in the bride's house, the bride's father or elder brother welcomes or worships the groom at the door with Arghya, Padya, Aachman, Madhupark etc. At some places, the girl herself comes to the door, greets the groom with sweet words and puts a garland around his neck. After that the groom also garlands the bride and accepts her marriage.

From the bride's side, the groom is ritually honored with Madhupark (curd, honey, ghee) in the middle of the marriage hall. Madhupark: Madhupark contains a mixture of curd, honey and ghee in the ratio of three, two, one, which the bride's father gives to the groom to eat. In fact, it is a chemical (mahaushadhi), which relieves vata, phlegm, bile, is healthy and sweet. Through this, the housewife has been taught that she should prepare sweet, fortifying, blood-enhancing and nutritious food in the kitchen and the groom is also indicated that he will continue to get such healthy food and good behavior throughout his life.

The groom takes the Madhu Parak in his hand and says this sentence: "Om Mitrasya Twa Chakshusha Samikshe." That is, O food, I look at you with the eyes of a friend. In this way, with a feeling of friendship and happiness, “Bhuthebhyastva Parigrihanami”, I accept you not only for myself, but for the sake of every living being. Saying this, he divides Madhupark into three more parts and accepts it.

This embodies the ideal of 'Ten Tyakten Munjitha:' one should consume worldly goods with renunciation. Godaan: The process of Godaan takes place after Madhuparka Prashan. Cow is a symbol of Indian culture. If there is no cow, there is no house. This cow is given so that all the members of the family can remain healthy and happy by consuming its milk etc. The sages and sages had found a surefire way to protect cows by making the law of cow donation on the occasion of marriage.
