Guru Gobind Singh Ji was the last of the ten Gurus of Sikhism, who transformed Sikhism. In 1699 he created the Khalsa, a community of believers who wore visible symbols of their faith and trained as warriors. Today the Khalsa includes all practicing Sikhs. Takht Sri Patna Harimandar Sahib, where Guru Gobind Singh Ji was born, is today a holy shrine for the Sikhs, where thousands of devotees visit every year.

Guru Gobind Singh started the Khalsa tradition of five:
Hair: Uncut hair.
Kangha: Wooden comb.
Kada: A bracelet of iron or steel worn on the wrist.
Kirpan: Sword or dagger.
Kachera: Small underpants.

In Sikhism, Guru is God. Just as there is no difference between a wave and an ocean, similarly there is no difference between Guru and God. In other words, from Guru Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Guru Granth Sahib Ji and God, all believe that they are one.
